Jackie Barnes Design tailors an elevated lifestyle for busy individuals and families, transforming the way they feel and interact with and in their home.
No project is quite the same. But our approach never wavers. At Jackie Barnes Design, we design and renovate homes that…
We believe a home is more than a place you live. It’s a mirror through which your quality of life is reflected.
In our opinion, mindful design practices are the true path toward a home that will serve you and your family for generations to come.
Our mindful design approach will help enrich the overall wellbeing and health of your home and family. Let’s transform the way you feel and interact with the rest of the world through clever design solutions and a holistic family approach.
A great designer doesn’t just bring your vision to life; they elevate it. That’s how we create spaces that are perfectly tailored to you and your lifestyle.
“WOW. Why didn’t we do this sooner?” is music to our ears. Our goal is to bring out the full potential of your home by highlighting what you love most and customizing the rest through a creative, sometimes out-of-the-box, approach that will both meet your needs and satisfy your unique aesthetic. In the end, you’ll have the home you’ve always wanted, one that fits your one-of-a-kind life.
Everyone deserves a home that makes them feel good. That’s why we believe interior design is a smart investment rather than a pretentious luxury.
Devoting resources to the place you spend so much of your life is important, and an intentional design and renovation process will ensure that you feel confident in how your money is budgeted.
Our team approaches every day as a new opportunity to provide…
As a homeowner, you shouldn’t have to deal with the full-time stress of managing the many details of your renovation or redesign project.
Instead, your home transformation should feel exciting and fun! We believe our clients should be able to live their lives and focus on the things that matter most with full confidence that their home, money, and vision are well taken care of — with no details overlooked or resources wasted.
And ensures our design choices remain…
The simple truth is that the choices we make for our homes do impact our planet and communities. It’s our responsibility to prevent that as much as possible.
We keep what you love, redesign what you wish to change, and responsibly discard or donate the rest. In fact, for every project we take on, we work with New Life Furniture Bank, a non-profit organization that – among other charitable endeavors – delivers donated furniture to vulnerable families in our community. Our clients can rest easy knowing we do our best to make the most out of what you leave behind.
As a Cincinnati native, I’ve moved from the West Side to Hyde Park to Columbia Tusculum, and now call Wyoming, Ohio home. I find inspiration in the rich tradition and appreciation for history rooted in Cincinnati; all of which are reflected in the timeless design and construction of its homes.
With a background in psychology (B.S.) and sociology (M.A.), I understand how our environments directly impact our mental and physical health. This unique perspective is at the core of my design philosophy—creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional.
I don't just craft spaces that look good —they feel good too. I truly believe in the power of design to enhance your well-being. For me, every project is about reflecting the individual character of the people who live and work there.
To craft environments that spark joy and elevate your everyday life. It all starts with a deep dive into your world—understanding who you are, how you live, and what makes you tick. I don’t just aim for beautiful interiors—I strive to give you a better way to live.
When I'm not designing, I cherish time with my wonderful family, most notably when we're out picnicking. I also enjoy diving into a good book and training for endurance events.

Katherine's love for design started early, from crafting custom Barbie doll clothes to sketching clothing designs in class, always fascinated by the interplay of textiles, colors, and materials. Today, she brings that same creativity and passion to work, combining a strong background in both commercial and residential remodeling with a focus on client and vendor relationships, marketing, and project management.
As the Marketing Manager for Jackie Barnes, Katherine oversees all aspects of marketing strategy and execution. From developing and managing campaigns to creating engaging content and driving digital marketing efforts, she works to build brand awareness and support business growth.
Outside of JBD, Katherine is a proud mom to three spontaneous, quick-witted boys who keep her on her toes. She loves a good true-crime audiobook, SEC football, rehabbing anything vintage, and spending time in Northern Michigan (always on the water).
When we work together, we’ll sort through your furniture and collect the pieces you’re ready to part with. Instead of sending those pieces off to some unknown location, we’ll place a request on your behalf for New Life Furniture Bank’s free haul-away service to come pick up those pieces and bring them to their site.
