As a small interior design business, it’s extremely important to me that I tap into local Cincinnati resources for my work. Homeowners can incorporate parts of their very own city into their spaces by supporting small businesses, which is just one reason I use local vendors for supplies and custom craftsmanship. One of the best hardware companies in Cincinnati, in my opinion, is Bona Decorative Hardware.
I can always rely on this vendor for quality pieces to offer clients. Today, let’s highlight their work!
Bona, located at 3073 Madison Rd. in Cincinnati and open six days a week, offers a wide range of quality hardware brands. Their impressive showroom – a favorite of mine – has a variety of plumbing and hardware products for pretty much any room in your home.
Their staff is consistently helpful in making the best selections for your products. In fact, their small family-like staff is extremely well-versed in product knowledge. So, get your questions ready!
There are hundreds of brands and styles to choose from at Bona, which always gets my creativity flowing. If you’re searching for kitchen or bathroom hardware, this is a great place to start. It might even be the first and last hardware store you explore.
The Bona staff knows so much about the products they sell, so we always know our clients and our work are in capable hands.
I visited this local gem recently with a client who wanted a pull handle for their drawers and a knob for their cabinets that would work together. The Bona staff ran all over the showroom and found pieces that worked perfectly for the project! Even if they pull hardware from several brands, they are excellent in determining which styles work harmoniously.
The small details are really what makes or breaks your final product. When you’re spending $30k (or more) on cabinets, and all you’re missing are the final touches, choosing the tiny details (like hardware) is anything but a shrug-it-off decision. For the investment you’re putting into your space, you deserve quality details to finish it up. In other words, you can finish right at the finish line or take those few steps beyond the finish.
Local businesses are less like cogs in one huge machine and more like single threads helping weave together a beautiful tapestry.
When you buy local, you are buying into a symbiotic relationship within your community. Local businesses create more jobs for workers in the area, which helps support our local economy. On top of that, these small local businesses buy from other small local businesses. So, not only are you supporting your community economically by buying local, but you’re also supporting the social structure of your community as well. Treat thy neighbor and all of that, am I right?
Additionally, I love buying local because this allows my clients to see products in-person. Never underestimate the power of feeling and seeing a product up close before buying it! It can definitely be a gamble to buy a product online, so I’d rather bypass that altogether and support local businesses as often as I can.
As an interior designer, an important part of my job is finding local connections that benefit my clients. I build professional relationships with local vendors so you don’t have to! If you’d like to talk further about working with me, complete our quick Inquiry Form.
